James is a partner in the emerging companies and venture capital practice in London. James provides a pragmatic, hands-on approach to helping high-growth often disruptive companies and investors in these companies navigate through a company’s life cycle from initial structuring through to exit and beyond, including all the various types and stages of financings, M&A, and general corporate governance and advisory in between.

James represents companies and investors across a broad range of industries, and has acted on some of the UK’s most high-profile investments including those into Deliveroo, Monzo, Cazoo, Bloom & Wild, Improbable, Hopin, Synthesia, and Multiverse.

James’s private equity practice focuses on fund formation, portfolio structure and management, growth equity, leveraged buyouts, management buyouts, and recapitalizations.
